The Jamestowne Society Expands in California



The Jamestowne Society’s First California Company has been complemented with the new Golden State Company, which held its chartering meeting on May 4 in Montecito.  Coming close behind is a new company being formed Northern California that expects to be chartered in November.

Both First California Company and the new Northern California company will be holding meetings on Saturday, October 20,

Michael J. Phelps, the latter’s organizing Governor, is convening a luncheon meeting preparatory to its chartering at Spenger's Restaurant in Berkeley. For more information and to make reservations, contact phelps@alumni.princeton.edu.

The same date will find the First California Company meeting at noon at the San Diego Yacht Club to hear two of his descendants discuss Stephen Hopkins - After Jamestown and on to Plimouth.
