A New Find at the First Church at Jamestowne

The dig of the first church at Jamestowne (c.1608) has produced an intriguing find with the uncovering of a previously unknown well within the perimeter of the edifice where it is believed that Pocahontas and John Rolfe were married in 1614 (see our posts of August 2010 and Historic Jamestown’s website.)

Eric Pesola of the Williamsburg/Yorktown Daily has given us an update with an video interview with archeologist Danny Schmidt of Historic Jamestown.
